In 2005 SunRay Kelley asked me to photograph a plastering party at the temple he was building for Harbin Hot Springs in Northern California. Most plastering parties involve a few friends. This one was 200 people plus a rave DJ and two 10’x14’ mixing pits. If you ever need a lot of work done in a hurry, a party is the way to do it.
