I have been a fan of this man's work for a long time. As part of his ministry to our returning veterans on the edge of homelessness he has developed a variant of the Earthship with some very exciting features including a materials cost of less than $6000. He has also helped his county write a variant of the New Mexico experimental building code that local officials are so excited about that he now has a 160 acre site in Alamogordo for building these things and a deal with the community college to help veterans use building their own home as a way to get their degree with GI bill money.
